Guincho lies within Serra de Sintra national park and is one of the most striking beaches of the Lisbon coast. It can be reached by bus from Cascais, but despite that It keeps a wild ambience. The waves are powerful and the place can be really windy – it has hosted windsurf world championships because of that.

Guincho is different due to its swell directions, wind directions and tide. South and East winds direction are offshore. The strong swells form powerful waves not ideal for beginners. However, when the wind goes quiet during early or late ours it is just great for surfing. Yes, you don´t want to miss that!
